Author's tour "Colombia: Bogota – Santa Marta «Park Tayrona» - Ciudad Perdida Trek - Cartagena"

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and start your tour of the historic center of Bogota. You will learn about the rich history and culture of the city, see magnificent colonial churches, narrow streets, historic squares and museums. The old quarters are home to many architectural monuments from the 17th-19th centuries, while the modern districts amaze with skyscrapers, cafes and shops.
The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, one of the richest museums in the world, where gold items from the pre-Columbian era are displayed. Then you will take the funicular up to the Monserrate hill (3200 m above sea level), from where you will have a stunning view of the city. At the top of the hill is the monastery of San Vincente (17th century).
The tour will end with a visit to the museum of the famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Lunch at a restaurant. After the tour you will be taken to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide and set off for a full day outside of Bogota. First stop: Lake Guatavita, located at an altitude of 3,100 meters. This place is associated with the legend of El Dorado, where Indian chiefs performed rituals by throwing gold items into the water.
Next you will go to the city of Zipaquira, where you will visit the unique Salt Cathedral, carved in a salt mine at a depth of 180 meters. You will have time to walk around the colorful village and buy souvenirs. Lunch at a restaurant. Return to Bogota and transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Santa Marta. Upon arrival, you will be met by a guide and a tour of the city will begin. You will visit the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino estate, where Simon Bolivar, the liberator of Latin America, died.
You will also see the historic center of Santa Marta, which is a national monument, and the Cathedral, the first cathedral in America. The tour will end with a visit to the Taganga viewpoint, which offers views of the quiet fishing village and picturesque beaches. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and transfer to Tayrona National Park (about 45 minutes). The walk through the park will take about an hour to Arrecifes Beach, then another 40 minutes to Cape San Juan. You will enjoy the beaches, tropical forest and picturesque views. Lunch and free time on the beach. Return to Santa Marta and transfer to the hotel.

Early breakfast. Meeting with the guide and transfer to Mamey (about 4 hours). From here the trek to the Lost City will begin. The first transition will be 7.6 km, with a stop at the observation deck and swimming in natural pools. Night at the camp "Adan or Alfredo".

After breakfast, continue trekking to the second camp "Cabaña Viva". Along the way, you can swim in the Buritaca River. After lunch, move to the third camp "Paraiso Teyuna". Total time of the trek is about 8 hours.

Early breakfast. Ascent to the Lost City, overcoming 1200 steps. You will see the ancient city of Tayrona, surrounded by jungle. After the excursion, descent to the camp for lunch and return to the second camp for the night.

Return to Mamey (about 6 hours). Transfer to Santa Marta and accommodation at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cartagena (about 4 hours). Accommodation at the hotel and rest.

Breakfast. Meet your guide and start your tour of Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage City. You will visit the San Felipe de Barajas Fortress (17th century), the historic center with ancient walls, churches and monuments. You will also climb La Popa Hill, which offers panoramic views of the city.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for rest or independent walks.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for international flight.
