Breakfast in the hotel. Panoramic city tour with the historical center of Bogota, which is called "La Candelaria". We will visit the Gold Museum, where about 34,000 artifacts of pre-Columbian gold are displayed. We will then visit the Casa de la Moneda and Donación Botero, where the works of the master Fernando Botero are exhibited. Fernando Botero is an internationally recognized Colombian artist who works in a variety of media such as painting, drawing and sculpture. Later we will visit Plaza Bolivar, the Main Cathedral, Casa de Nariño - Presidential Palace, Llevano Palace - City Hall and the Palace of Justice. Finally, we will try the smoothest coffee in the world. A local expert will teach you the secrets of good coffee, assessing qualities such as balance, aroma and acidity. Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning we begin a tour of the Cundiboyacense highlands and its majestic mountains towards Zipaquirá. A visit to the Cathedral of Salt, built inside a mine at a depth of 180 meters, is considered one of the most important wonders of Colombia and a great work of engineering and religious art. We will continue our journey to Chiquinquira and visit its basilica, from there we will go to Rakira, which stands out for its architecture. We end our journey in Ville de Leyva, where we can appreciate its colonial architecture, surrounded by mountains, desert and the largest square in Colombia. Accommodation in Ville de Leyva. Breakfast in the hotel. We leave with luggage to Los Pozos Azules. This is a natural attraction that will allow us to admire 6 wells, the attractive color of which is due to the minerals in the soil (sulphide, selenium and copper sulphate). We then continue towards the Paleontological Research Center, which houses one of the most advanced vertebrate fossil preparation laboratories, as well as one of the largest craid paleontological collections in the world. Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to the typical town of Filandia. We will walk along its colonial streets and visit the Quindio observation deck. In addition, we will have a gastronomic experience - drinks and desserts in a local restaurant. Then drive to the Cocora Valley with beautiful scenery. Upon arrival in the valley, we will receive a welcome cocktail (Canelazo) and assistance from a specialized eco-guide from Cocora, who will introduce us to the Cocora National Reserve. A walk in the cloud forest, where we will appreciate the diversity of fauna and flora of the region. The eco-trail will take us to the tallest wax palm in the world and the national flagship tree, where we will take part in the Quindio wax palm ritual. This includes learning about the history of how the early inhabitants of the area worshiped this palm. After this we will plant palm tree seedlings. Transfer to the typical town of Salento, where we will stroll through the colonial streets of the city. Duration: about 7 hours. Upon arrival at the coffee farm, a tour begins in the company of a local expert who will guide you through the beautiful plantations of specialty coffee, explaining the entire process from planting to selective hand harvesting. Afterwards, we will roast special coffee beans on a wood-burning stove in the kitchen of a typical peasant house, where we can experience the taste of real coffee. During the tour, there are several stations with bamboo viewing platforms where we can enjoy the beautiful scenery while drinking a cup of coffee. Finally, we move on to the innovative coffee bean drying process and then to the mill, finishing in the main house where we are treated to delicious coffee lemonade. Return to the hotel. After passing through the Canaveral sector, we will begin our walk (approximately 1 hour) along the ecological trail to the Arekifes sector, where there will be a short stop to admire the scenery and take photographs.
