Climate

The climate of Italy varies throughout the country. Italy, like many other countries with a similar geographical location and uneven topography, covers several climatic zones. In the north one can observe clear signs of a temperate continental climate, and in the south - a pronounced subtropical one. At the same time, the climate of Italy as a whole has its own special color, which manifests itself in various details. Perhaps this is due to the sunshine of the country - the sun shines brightly here most of the year. The weather in Italy, again, depends on the climate zone in which you are located. However, in flat areas there is no temperature below zero anywhere. In the north there are warm summers (up to +24 °C) and cold winters with constant fog (average temperature - 0 °C). To the south of the country the temperature rises, in the summer to about +35 °C - hot winds from the Sahara have an effect. In the mountainous regions of the Alps, snow cover lasts for approximately 200 days a year, and winter temperatures reach -15 °C.
