Then you will take the funicular to the Monserrate Hill, which is located at an altitude of 3200 m above sea level. From there you will have a view of Bogota. Early in the morning we will leave the city of Bogota and head towards the Guatavita lagoon, located at an altitude of 3100 meters above sea level, 57 km from Bogota. This lagoon is one of the most famous lagoons of the pre-Columbian culture, just as there, in El Dorado, an ancient rite was erected that was performed every time a new cacique ascended the throne, and consisted in the fact that the new leader entered the lagoon on a raft to turn into its waters. At the same time, the subjects threw golden figurines called "Tunhos". For this reason, the lagoon was closed from below to save the supposed treasures hidden under its waters. After visiting the lake and getting to know us, we continue our journey for an hour and a half towards the village of Zipaquirá. After visiting the famous and beautiful Catedral de Sal, entirely carved out of salt, and registering in the world located 180 meters below sea level, you will have time to walk and buy numerous souvenirs in this colorful and obligatory wooden Colombia. In addition, you can be amazed by a tour of the old churches and famous monuments of Cartagena de Indias. We will visit one of the best tourist sites in Colombia, El Cerro de la Popa and the monastery that bears its name, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.
