General

Mexico is a unique cocktail in which Spanish, Indian and Caribbean cultures are harmoniously intertwined. The unique local flavor, the rich history of the warlike people, stunning natural landscapes and the fiery temperament of the Mexicans lure tourists from all over the world. The capital is Mexico City, one of the largest metropolises in the world, surrounded by inaccessible mountains and volcanoes. The ancient Aztec city that once graced this land was almost completely destroyed by the Spanish colonialists, but the ruins of Tenochtitlan and the halls of the Templo Mayor still keep secrets, covered in the dust of centuries. The modern center of Mexico City is Constitution Square in the solemn Baroque style, Alameda Park, Paseo de la Reforma, Garibaldi Square and other spectacular locations.

For citizens of Belarus, a visa to Mexico is not required if they have a Schengen visa, a US, Canadian, Japanese, or UK visa (for a stay of up to 180 days). If none of these visas are available, Belarusians need a Mexican visa.

Climate

The climate in the country is subtropical in the north and tropical in the south. In coastal resort areas (Acapulco, Cancun) the temperature is +26 °C in winter and +35 °C in summer. The country has dry (November-April) and wet (June-September) seasons, which differ not in temperature, but in the amount of precipitation and especially the level of air humidity. August-early October is considered a period when hurricanes are possible.
