To cross the Malaysian border, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the planned date of departure from the country. Citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia can stay in Malaysia without a visa for 30 days; upon arrival, they get a stamp in their passport (free of charge).

How to get there

It is currently not possible to get to Malaysia by direct flight from the CIS countries. You can fly to Malaysia using connecting flights (with transfers) from many cities in Russia and the CIS countries.

Climate

Due to the fact that the country is located near the equator, the climate of Malaysia is characterized as equatorial - hot and humid throughout the year. The climate in a particular region of the country depends mainly on the topography, thus distinguishing between the climate of highlands, lowlands and coastal regions. Coastal areas are characterized by sunny weather with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 32°C and precipitation ranging from 100 to 300 mm per month. The country's lowlands have similar temperatures, but higher precipitation levels. The climate at higher elevations is cooler and wetter, with greater temperature variations.
