City tour with lunch in Cervejaria Bohemia. Petropolis is located high in the mountains, shrouded in fog, 60 km from Rio de Janeiro. The last king of Brazil, Don Pedro II, built a summer palace on these lands in 1830 in order to be able to transfer his sick daughter here from hot Rio de Janeiro. In this city, where the news of a military coup and dethronement found him, he will find his last refuge in this world. The Imperial Palace, now a museum, houses a unique collection of decorative arts, furniture, ancient books, beautiful statues of saints and the golden imperial crown, adorned with numerous diamonds and pearls, which was traditionally placed on kings at coronation. The city still preserves the spirit and architecture of German settlers - houses with pointed roofs and attics, high windows. In the evening, transfer to Rio de Janeiro (about 260 km). Having driven through the center of Rio with its majestic skyscrapers of banks and architectural buildings of the colonial period, the Church of Candelaria, which is an exact copy of the cathedral in Rome, you arrive at the foot of Mount Corcovado, which is one of the most striking features of the landscape of the mouth of Guanabara Bay. Here you board a train of small carriages that will take you up through the rain forest, past amazing tropical trees growing around. After a pleasant short walk from the terminus, you will find yourself at the feet of the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer standing on top of Corcovado Hill. At an altitude of 700 m above sea level, the symbol of Rio rises - the statue of Christ the Savior. From Corcovado Hill you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the metropolis and its surroundings, including the Botanical Garden, Maracanã Stadium, and Sugar Loaf. The whole of Rio de Janeiro will lie in front of you in full view. You will be able to enjoy the magnificent panorama of Rio and Guanabara Bay and take memorable photographs. Next, you will again go down on the familiar trailers and go to the Praia Vermelha beach (Red Beach). From here you will take a cable car up the mountain to the top of Mount Urca. From this point there is a truly unparalleled view of Rio. And again on the funicular - now to Sugarloaf (Pao de Acucar). The mountain is interesting for its shape; it is believed that it looks like a sugar loaf, hence the name Sugar Loaf. According to another version, the name comes from Pau-nh-acuqua (in the local language of the natives) and is translated as “High Hill”. From here, the entire city will open before you, modestly nestled between the mountains and the sea, and the rays of the sun setting behind the Copacabana beach will paint it in fabulous colors. Having traveled down the cable car, you will be accompanied by a guide back to the hotel.

Subsequently, a better route was found through Rio, which contributed to the fact that the city of Paraty remained unchanged. Paraty has become a resort attracting those tourists from all over the world who want to relax comfortably on excellent beaches and enjoy the view of the architectural structures of this city. It was soon recognized by UNESCO as one of the most important monuments of Portuguese colonial architecture. In the evening you will have a city tour of the historical center of Paraty (3 hours).
