Breakfast in the hotel. A guide is waiting for you in the hotel lobby. Half-day excursion (4 hours) to Sugar Loaf (Pao de Azucar Mountain) with a Russian-speaking guide. You go to Praia Vermelha (Red Beach), from where you will take a cable car up the mountain. The first stop will be on Mount Urca, which has a wide observation deck where you can have a snack in a restaurant or bar. On Sugarloaf Mountain itself there is a smaller platform, but it offers a beautiful view of Rio, Copacabana beach, the bay, the surrounding mountains, islands in the ocean, the Niteroi Bridge, and the statue of Christ. Then by car you will go to the central areas of old Rio, where you will admire several ancient churches, monasteries, the main Cathedral of the city, as well as buildings built in the colonial style.

There are narrow, dirty streets winding along them, along which stinking ditches stretch. There are 700 favelas in Rio. It's not just thieves and drug dealers who live in favelas. There are technicians and employees here, and you can even rent a room. You can get here with the permission of the local godfather. The police don't come here. On the narrow streets there is a lively street trade. There is also a free market for food and handicrafts. It has its own internal laws. By jeep you will travel through the Rocinha areas and return to the hotel.
