A bit about the country

General

Hungary is Europe at its best and at the same time a dream for a traveler who is not afraid to veer off the beaten path. Its cities are not inferior in elegance and solemnity to recognized architectural capitals, but at the same time they are not crowded with crowds of curious tourists and do not frighten with exorbitant prices in hotels, restaurants and shops. The capital is Budapest, which at first glance stuns with its exquisite beauty. The hallmark of the ancient city is the building of the Hungarian Parliament, which incorporates features of neo-Gothic and French Beaux-Art. For some it will remind you of the architecture of London, for others it will remind you of luxurious Venetian palazzos.

How to get there

There are 5 international airports in Hungary, the largest of which, Ferihegy (or, as it is also called, Liszt Ferenc Airport), is located 16 km from the center of Budapest. Regular flights from Moscow are operated by Aeroflot: departure from Sheremetyevo, flight duration - from 2 hours 45 minutes. Direct flights between Belarus and Hungary have been stopped, there are no trains or buses, so it will not be possible to get from Minsk to Budapest without transfers.

Climate

As a rule, the coldest month is January, the hottest are June, July and August. Spring and autumn are long and warm.
