Excursion tour "Tour to Peru 2024"

Airport transfer. Flight to Arequipa. Arrival, meeting and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, the doors of the "White City" open before us on a tour starting in the beautiful colonial quarter of San Lazaro, the place where Arequipa was founded. From here we will walk through its colorful streets, decorated with geraniums, and then go to the Carmen Alto viewpoint to enjoy beautiful views of the agricultural terraces and from there to see the three volcanoes that tower over the city: Misti, Chachani and Picchu Picchu. We continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its Andalusian-style church and its viewpoint, built with beautiful architecture and surrounded by ashlar arches. We then visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, an impressive religious monument that has been closed for almost 400 years; with narrow streets, squares and gardens reminiscent of the old quarters of Seville or Granada. We then head to the Plaza de Armas, from where we will be able to observe the cathedral and the arches around the square, and then visit the Iglesia de la Compaña de Jesús church; founded by the Jesuits in the 17th century, pay attention to its cloisters and the famous Dome of San Ignacio.

Land expedition to the spectacular Colca del Colca. We follow the volcano route, climbing the slope of the Chachani volcano and enjoying magnificent views of the Misti and Picchu volcanoes. Our route will take us through the Pampa Canauas Vicuña Reserve, a high-altitude habitat for vicuñas where they live and are supported. The highest point of our route is 4,900 meters above sea level at the Patapampa Pass, from where we can appreciate the active Sabancaya volcano. Descent to Colca del Colca. Arrival and accommodation. Lunch at the hotel. Free time to relax or swim in the thermal springs in the area.

At dawn we head to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. We will watch the majestic flight of condors, huge Andean birds, symbols of the Andean countries. This view will allow us to appreciate the size of the canyon, which is considered one of the deepest canyons in the world. We will visit the towns of Maca and Yanke, which still maintain their colonial churches. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. In the afternoon, depart by bus for a 6-hour journey to the city of Puno. In the morning we take a motorboat to visit Uros, a settlement of people who sought refuge in Lake Titicaca, fleeing the various peoples who sought to conquer them. This community continues to build their islands following ancient techniques and welcomes us to share their knowledge. Its residents make their living from visitors. Then we will head to Taquile Island. The community of this island has maintained its traditions, clothing and way of life. They are one of the few Quechua communities in a region that is largely inhabited by Aymara, and they have maintained their inaccessibility to modernity and its possible impact on their lives. They will greet us with their music and dancing. Lunch at the community restaurant, simple but very nutritious. Then take a stroll around the area to enjoy beautiful views of Lake Titicaca. Return to the port of Puno. Transfer to the hotel.

We go by bus to the city of Cusco. Our first stop will be the Museo Litiko de Pucara (Litiko Pucara Museum), a place where the remains of the Pucara culture are preserved with works that will surprise us, such as monoliths, steles and sculptures in the shape of animals. This city is also famous for toritos de Pucara (little Pucara bulls), beautiful, colorful crafts that symbolize protection, happiness and fertility. At our next stop we will ascend to the highest point at 4,335 m above sea level in La Raya, where the geographical division of the Lake Titicaca basin and the Vilcanota River, which flows into the Amazon River basin, occurs. Dinner. We continue our journey to the city of Rakchi where the temple of the god Viraocha is located, the prominent stone bases of the huge columns and walls stand out and give us an idea of how magnificent this small palace was. As a final stop, we will visit the beautiful Church of San Pedro Apostol de Andahuayllas, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America" for the paintings that decorate its ceilings and walls. Arrival in Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.

In the morning we leave the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive fortress with colossal buildings surrounded by a beautiful landscape in perfect harmony with its surroundings. We then continue to the Incan adoratorium of Qenqo with its amazing altar for sacrifices built into the interior of the rock formation. Finally, we will arrive at the viewpoint of Puka Puka and Tambomachay, a monument to outstanding architectural excellence, considered one of the pillars of Andean cosmovision. In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive walk through the city, starting with a visit to Plaza San Cristobal to enjoy panoramic views of the city. We will then visit the San Pedro Market, where we will immerse ourselves in local flavors and learn more about the produce this region supplies to the entire city. Later we will be greeted by the Coricancha Temple with all its glory and splendor, with walls that were once covered with gold. From the San Blas district, the artisans' quarter, we will stroll along Hatun Rumiyoc Street, along the way we will see the Inca Rocky Palace, today's palace of the archbishops, and we will take time to admire the world famous Twelve Bladed Stone. After this we will continue to Armas Square to visit the Cathedral, where colonial works of incredible value are located.

On this day we will visit the most outstanding places of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will go to the Incan village of Chinchero, the most typical and colorful in the Sacred Valley. This village is famous for its weavers. Brief stop at a textile production center to appreciate old Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. After visiting the Inca square with its beautiful colonial church, we will continue to Moray, a beautiful Inca archaeological complex consisting of concentric agricultural terraces that served as a laboratory for the creation of microclimates. Dinner. Later we will visit the last living Inca village - Ollantaytambo. We will also visit the Temple of Ten Windows, the Princess Bath and the Temple of the Sun. The photographs we will take from the heights of Ollantaytambo will complete this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Accommodation in this region.
