Author's tour "Nepal. Trek around Manaslu"

After breakfast, we set off towards Machha Khola. A scenic but long drive (9-10 hours) through hills, terraced fields and the villages of Arughat and Soti Khola awaits us. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and rest.

We start the trek along a picturesque trail along the Budhi Gandaki River. Along the way, we cross suspension bridges, pass through the villages of Khorla Besi and Tatopani. The day ends in the stone village of Jagat - the entrance to the Manaslu Protected Area

The trail gradually climbs through forests and small settlements. Along the way we pass through the village of Philim, known for its Buddhist culture. Ahead there are views of the peak of Siringi Himal. We spend the night in the village of Deng

Today's trek passes through suspension bridges, dense forests and traditional villages of Rana, Bihi and Prok. Along the way, there are mani walls and Buddhist shrines. The day ends in Namrung, a cozy village with panoramic views.

We continue our ascent through forests of rhododendron and oak trees, passing traditional Tibetan villages with monasteries and prayer walls. Upon arrival in Lho, breathtaking views of Manaslu open up.

The route leads up through forests and streams to the largest village in the region, Samagaung. Here you will get to know the traditional way of life, steeped in Tibetan culture, and feel the atmosphere of the highlands.

A short but important day for acclimatization. The trail leads through a harsh alpine landscape to the settlement of Samdo, located near the Tibetan border. Here live Tibetan settlers, and the mountain views are particularly impressive.

A short hike allows us to acclimatize better before tomorrow's pass. We climb to the base camp of Larkya La, where there will be time to rest, recuperate and prepare for the most intense day of the trek.

An early rise – the most challenging, but also the most impressive day of the trek lies ahead. The climb to the Larkya La Pass opens up grandiose views of Himlung Himal, Cheow Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II. After a short rest at the summit, the long descent into the green Bimthang Valley begins.

We descend through picturesque rhododendron forests and terraced fields, passing through the villages of Tilje and other Gurkha settlements. In Dharapani, a jeep awaits us, which will take us to Besisahar. Here we will spend the night in a cozy hotel.

After breakfast, we set off on the return journey to Kathmandu (7-8 hours). Along the way, we admire the hilly landscapes and local villages. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and have free time to relax or explore the city.

Depending on your departure time, you can spend the morning on some last minute walks, shopping, or visiting a museum. Then transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home.
