Excursion tour "Beautiful Costa Rica"

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel in San Jose for a trip to the Central Mountain Range where you will visit La Paz Falls and Poas Volcano. Later we will begin our excursion to the Poas Volcano. As we climb towards Poas Volcano, we will notice a change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the road, creating a beautiful landscape. At Volcano Poas, we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its hydrogen sulfide fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. After visiting the volcano, we will continue our tour to La Paz Falls for lunch and a tour. Upon arrival in La Paz, we will walk along a trail leading to an impressive waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park we will also visit the hummingbird gallery, serpentarium, bird house, butterfly garden and frog exhibition. Then we will go to the northern lowlands of the Arenal Volcano and the city of La Fortuna. Relax in the region's best thermal springs! (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

Mistico Park with the Arenal suspension bridges is a beautiful eco-friendly natural project, an ideal place for walking. It is located near the Arenal volcano. There are trails and bridges that will bring you as close to the birds, flowers and lush vegetation of the primary rainforest as you can get. This is the perfect excursion for nature lovers! The trails, totaling approximately 2 miles, are suitable for all skill levels. Walking through them, you will be able to admire the great diversity of flora and fauna typical of the tropical rain forest, and also see many different species of birds and plants within 2.5 hours. Walk straight into the forest over various sections of suspension bridges overlooking the tree canopy along easy, safe and beautiful trails with views of the Arenal Volcano. Enjoy nature while crossing 15 different bridges, of which 6 are suspension bridges. (Meals: Breakfast)

Breakfast in the hotel. A fascinating excursion awaits you: “Boating on the Frio River in Caño Negro”, especially interesting for nature lovers! The highlight of this excursion is a boat ride on the Frio River, starting in Los Chiles, a small town located 4 km from the Nicaraguan border. This river is part of the Caño Negro Nature Reserve, a Ramsar site that contains one of the most diverse flora and fauna habitats in Costa Rica. Along the river you can observe a large number of birds such as herons, cormorants, as well as animals such as screamers, spider monkeys or even white-faced monkeys, sloths and some reptiles such as caimans, lizards and turtles. After lunch, return to Arenal. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

Morning: Tour of the chocolate farm. You will have the opportunity to learn interesting aspects of cocoa and chocolate, starting with its origin and history, participating in the entire production process, from harvesting the fruit, drying and grinding the seeds, as well as preparing the traditional drink of our ancestors, and, of course, enjoy high-quality organic chocolate. Enjoy this journey through history, culture, tradition and taste. Evening: Visit to the Baldi thermal springs - the largest complex of thermal springs in the Arenal volcano area. There are large and small pools, hot and cold, with paths between them. Enjoy relaxing baths with water of varying temperatures for long sessions. There is often a cold pool next to the hot pool, allowing you to cool down or warm up as you wish. In fact, after twenty minutes in the thermal springs, your body temperature will rise, so it is recommended to spend some time in the cold pools during your visit. Dinner at Baldi thermal springs. Transfer to Monteverde. Monteverde is one of the most unique cities in all of Costa Rica. It has a rustic atmosphere and you'll often see cowboys in downtown Santa Elena, a major ecotourism hotspot. Trapiche Farm Tour: This tour takes place on a family farm where you can visit coffee and sugar cane plantations. You will learn about the traditional process of extracting the juice from the cane and preparing sobado. You will become familiar with the coffee processing process and its different stages. Plus, you can make your own sugarcane syrup and taste each product. (Meals: Breakfast)
