At first, the dance was performed by two men quite cheekily and received its name from the Latin “tangere” - to touch. Over time, Tango became slower and acquired new tones of intimacy. Tango orchestras appeared. The dance was rapidly gaining popularity, and now Tango is one of the most sensual dances on earth, it teaches sincerity, makes men remember gallantry, women remember tenderness. Calafate is a small town in Patagonia, located on the shores of lakes Viedma and Argentino. One incredible tourist attraction here is the impressive Glaciar Perito Moreno in the National Park of Los Glaciares. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Amazing nature, the water surface of the lake, on the shore of which the town is located, small cozy bars and restaurants, shops with souvenirs. You simply won't want to leave these places.

Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to Los Glacieres Park to the Perito Moreno Glacier. About 40% of the park is covered by giant ice fields, with 47 large glaciers, of which 13 head east in the park to feed two large lakes, Lake Viedma to the north and Lake Argentino to the south. These glaciers, which give the park its name, show us a 10,000-year-old world: cold and wild. The most famous glacier is Perito Moreno in the southwestern part of Lake Argentino, 80 km from El Calafate. This glacier is named after the great Argentine explorer of the last century, and is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still moving. That is why it has become one of the most spectacular in South America. From time to time, its 60-meter-high patch releases several walls of ice, as large as buildings, that fall into Rico Bend or the Canal de Los Témpanos (ice floe channel) and then continue to float along the channel in the lake area. However, that's not all. The glacier, moving forward, approaches the Magellan Peninsula, on the opposite shore of the lake, as well as bridges and an observation deck. This cycle takes 4 to 6 years and eventually splits the lake into two parts. Rico Bend is dammed and rises approximately 35 m above mean level. Its waters slowly make their way through the glacier until they cause it to fall. A breathtaking sight!

Rising almost vertically more than 2000m above the Patagonian steppe, the granite pillars of Torres del Paine (Paine Towers) dominate the landscape of South America's finest national park. Before its creation in 1959, the park was part of a large sheep pasture and is still recovering from almost a century of overuse of pasture, woodland and wildlife. Most people visit the park because it is simply considered a hit, but once you get here, you realize that there are other attractions: azure lakes, paths meandering through emerald forests, rushing rivers, fragile bridges and one large, shining blue glacier. The park, part of a UNESCO biosphere reserve system since 1978, is home to rhea ostriches (known as ñandú), Andean condor, flamingos and many other birds. The star of the park is undoubtedly the guanaco, which grazes on the open grasslands where pumas cannot approach them undetected. After more than a decade of effective protection from poachers, these large and growing herds don't even notice when approached by people or vehicles. Full day excursion. Includes a visit to the Milodon Cave, located on Benitez Hill, 25 km from the city of Puerto Natales, where the skeletons of a saber-toothed tiger, an American horse and a huge sloth were discovered in 1895. The name Milodon comes from the ancient animal Mylodon darwini, which lived here 8-10 thousand years ago. To get an idea of the appearance and size of this huge fossil herbivore, there is a sculpture of it at the entrance to the cave. We will return along a beautiful route, passing the Rio Serrano river and lakes Toro and Porteño. Overnight at the hotel.

Magdalena Island is home to the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in the Magellan and Chilean Antarctic region. These chinstrap penguins were spotted on the island about twenty years ago and have been growing in numbers ever since. As you walk around the island, you will have the unique experience of interacting with Magellanic penguins, just a short distance away. You will be able to see adult animals and their babies (depending on the time of visit). Not far from Magdalena Island is a smaller island, the rocky Marta Island. Martha Island is home to a large colony of sea lions, which can be observed from a boat. At the end of the excursion, transfer to the airport. Flight to Santiago de Chile.
