Founded by conquistadors in the 16th century, Panama City was the first Spanish city and port on the Pacific Coast. Today there are two cities of Panama in the country: Old Panama - Panama Viejo - and New Panama. In Old Panama there are complete ruins - cathedrals of the early 17th century, monasteries, bridges. New Panama is a beautiful modern city, a special part of which is the well-preserved Colonial part (Casco Antiguo), where there are many buildings from that era. This part of New Panama is declared a historical heritage of humanity and is under the protection of UNESCO. 6-hour city tour includes: Miraflores Panama Canal Visitor Center, observation of their management and the movement of ships through them. You will visit the Panama Canal Museum at the Miraflores Visitor Center, where you will learn about the work of this magnificent 20th century engineering structure, called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Tour Manuel Antonio National Park, visit to the Manuel Antonio National Park, located in the tropical rainforest area. Granada, known as the oldest colonial city in continental America, has survived pirate attacks, civil wars, fires and more in its rich history, dating back to its founding in 1524. We will begin this tour full of history by visiting the main square, the Casa, the Cultural Center de los Leones, the San Francisco Museum and Convent, the Ceramics Museum, the Church of La Merced and La Calzada. We will then head to the city of Managua, where we will introduce you to the culture and history of Nicaragua through the museums, parks and historical sites of the capital of the Republic. Situated on the shores of Lake Xolotlán, Managua has been the capital of Nicaragua since 1852. During the tour of the capital, we will take a sightseeing tour of the historical center of the city, visiting important attractions such as the Central Park, the ruins of the Santiago Cathedral, the National Palace of Culture and the Ruben Dario Theater. In addition, we will visit the Tiscapa Historical Park, where you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the city, lake and Tiscapa lagoons. We then head to Masaya Volcano National Park, the first and largest national park in the country, to explore the impressive Masaya Volcano and visit its active crater. The tour will begin with you being transferred to the port where you will board a boat for a tour of the famous Granada Islands. Please note that there are 365 islets that were created by the eruption of the Mombacho volcano.
