Excursion tour "Treasures of Bolivia"

8:00 am departure by private transport to Samaipata, a picturesque colonial town 120 km from the city, at an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level. Not far from the city is an important archaeological site known as the ceremonial and administrative center of Samaipata, the Incan fortress (El Fuerte), at an altitude of 1950 meters above sea level. This is the last stronghold of the Incas, a huge mountain carved by two large grooves, where you can see zoomorphic figures carved into the rock, water channels, stairs and niches. Enjoy a typical lunch in Samaipata town. Overnight at the El Pueblito Hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to visit Amboro Park, a forest of clouds where you can enjoy the beauty of large ferns, which is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience. We will take a walk around the area and return to Santa Cruz in the afternoon. We will stop to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Cuevas Falls, surrounded by vegetation. Overnight at the LP Equipetrol hotel.

At 6:30 am private transfer to the airport for your first flight to Sucre. The flight lasts 35 minutes. OB 580 VVI – SRE 08:35h-09:20h. Upon arrival at Sucre airport, transfer to the city. Enjoy free time to explore this beautiful city. Overnight at the Hotel de Sous Merced.

After breakfast we explore the city of Sucre, which retains its colonial and republican buildings that are part of Bolivian history. Sucre was named "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" (in 1991 by UNESCO). Visit key attractions including the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Basilica of San Francisco Javier, the Liberty House, the Asur Textile Museum and the Recoleta Museum. On the slopes of Churukella Hill with incredible views of the city, then return to the hotel.

Breakfast at 7:00 am, transfer to the bus station to board the first bus to the city of Potosi (3 hours on the way). At 10:30 transfer to the mineral market, where our guide will talk about coke, dynamite, customs and traditions of miners. We will then continue to Mount Cerro Rico in Potosi to go inside the mine. We will visit different levels and see the labor of the miners, as well as offerings to the deity of the mine, "Tio" (Devil). Return to the city of Potosi and board a bus heading to the city of Uyuni, the journey will take 4 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, Palacio de Sal, or Luna Salada.

After breakfast at 10:00 am we will visit the train graveyard, where there are old steam locomotives used to transport minerals. We will then continue our journey to the town of Colchani, where you can observe the salt processing process, including drying, grinding and packaging. You will also have the opportunity to purchase products made from salt. Then we will see salt mountains (the first stage of salt drying), natural springs (underground water flowing to the surface) and a salt hotel (Salt Museum), built entirely from salt. Lunch is served in the center of the salt marsh. We will then head to Inkawasi Island (a rocky island in the middle of a salt marsh where you can see giant cacti, some over 100 years old). From the top you can see the entire salt marsh, as well as small lakes and the Siloli desert. We will cross the endless salt marsh from north to south. Leaving it behind, we will walk along a chain of volcanoes with eternal snow to Lipes, where a wonderful view of the Ollague volcano opens. We will then resume our journey to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, where you will admire the slender figures of wild vicuñas. When we reach lakes Cañapa, Edionda and Onda, you will see three species of flamingos characteristic of the Andean region. Overnight at the Los Flamencos hotel (dinner at the hotel).

On this day, very early (around 6:30 am) we enjoy the scenery of the Siloli Desert. We will visit Stone Tree, a famous rock formation in the desert, and then head to Red Lake, a unique place known for its biodiversity, being the home and nursery of flamingos. We then head to Sol de Mañana, where fumaroles (geysers) demonstrate the volcanic activity of the region. After this, we will head to Polques, where passengers can enjoy the hot springs. Later we will reach the Dali Desert, famous for its surreal columns of stones carved by the wind. We then admire the Green Lagoon, one of the most valuable sites in the reserve, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. It's time to start the journey back to Uyuni, walking through the Valley of the Rocks, where the giant volcanic rocks are located near Alot. Our last stop is the city of San Cristobal, moved from its original location to accommodate one of Bolivia's largest mines. Arrive in Uyuni at approximately 18:00, followed by transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Luna Salada Hotel.

08:00 Transfer to the airport for flight to La Paz. Flight OB 305 departs at 09:25 and arrives at 10:25. La Paz - Copacabana - Lake Titicaca - Sunny Island Meeting at the airport, transfer to Lake Titicaca, enjoying the scenery of the Altiplano. After a 2-hour journey we will reach the narrowest section of the lake: the Tiquina Strait, which we will cross on a primitive local ferry along with the local population. Arrival in Copacabana city at 11:00. We will board a motorboat to cross Lake Titicaca to Sunny Island. Enjoy lunch followed by a visit to the Inca Palace, or Picco Caina, built under the Inca Emperor Tupac Yupanqui. It is believed that these ruins are the spiritual entrance to the holy island. After a short walk we will reach the hilltop town of Yumani where we will visit the "Escalinata del Inca" (Staircase of the Incas) leading to the "Fuente de las 3 aguas" (Fountain of the Three Pools). Tradition says that drinking from its water can give you eternal life. You'll have time to take photos of the lake and the stunning Cordillera Real de Andes. We return by boat to Copacabana. Overnight at the Rosario del Lago hotel with dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, stroll through the picturesque streets of Copacabana, visit the church that houses the Black Virgin, the local market where the famous pasancaglias and Bolivian sweet Andean popcorn are sold. Return by public tourist transport to the city of La Paz. Concentration of passengers at approximately 13:30 in the lobby of the Hotel Rosario Lago Titicaca and departure at 14:00. Arrival in La Paz.

At 2:30 p.m., enjoy a private half-day tour of the highlights of La Paz. The Killi-Killi observation deck offers stunning views of the city. Then visit the historical center of La Paz, Plaza Murillo, the Executive Palace, the Legislative Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral. As you head towards the amazing Valley of the Moon, you will see a replica of the semi-descended Tiwanaku Temple, located opposite the city's stadium. Arrive at the Valley of the Moon with striking clay geological forms created by wind erosion and heavy rainfall, creating an attractive lunar landscape. On your way back to the city center, take the yellow cable car line for beautiful panoramic views of La Paz. This city cable car is one of the most scenic means of city cable transport, allowing you to discover the secrets of the city from the air and admire the snow-capped Mount Illimani. Continue the tour to the Witches' Market, a place full of traditions and objects for ancient Andean rituals, handicraft markets, where you can feel the pulse of this charming city. The tour ends at the Church of San Francisco, a majestic colonial church in the Mestisso Baroque style. Return to the hotel.
