Visa requirements change often, applications take time, and every filing has its own paperwork. Travel Code just shipped visa filing as part of the trip — check requirements, order the e-visa or travel authorization, we handle it end-to-end.
The problem: visas are a hidden tax on business travel operations
A traveler with a business trip to a country they haven’t been to before triggers a chain of questions no booking platform used to answer: Does my passport need a visa here? An e-visa or a full application? What’s the fee? How long does it take? Who files it? What documents do I need to have ready?
In most corporate programs, the answers come from a mix of Google searches, embassy websites in the local language, and the traveler asking a colleague who traveled last month. That takes hours per trip, and it’s a common cause of last-minute travel disruption — either the visa doesn’t come through in time, or the traveler leaves without one and gets turned around at check-in.
What we just shipped: visas as a service inside the booking flow
Every Travel Code account now has a Visas section that answers all of the above per trip and per traveler — with prices, processing times, and a one-click order.

The trip is described the way any trip is described — origin, destination, dates, travelers, purpose (business, tourism, transit). The system checks the passport country of each traveler against the destination and returns the exact requirement: no visa needed, visa-on-arrival, e-visa, electronic travel authorization, or full embassy application. For every traveler we can file for, the price includes the government fee, our service fee, and an estimated processing time. Order sits alongside the flight in the same trip.
What the traveler-level detail looks like
Clicking through the requirement opens the full breakdown for that traveler and destination. For a US citizen traveling to the UK, for example:

The detail page shows the program name (UK ETA), its rules (multiple entry, stay up to 180 days, valid 730 days), the link to the official government portal for verification, the timing (3 days processing, apply today for a trip in 5 days), and the exact documentation the traveler needs to have ready (passport with biometric chip, email access, credit/debit card, compliant photo, face scan for applicants aged 10+). A verification date is shown for the fees and rules — the last time our team checked the official portal.
Filing is done by our team, with Robert AI doing the heavy lifting
Once a filing is ordered, our travel team runs it end-to-end on the traveler’s behalf: the application, the document upload, tracking, and delivering the result into the trip. Robert AI — our travel operations model — drafts the application from the traveler’s passport data, monitors the government portal for status updates, and pings the team for the small set of decisions that still need human judgment (photo compliance edge cases, unusual routing, dual nationalities). Filings that used to take 30-60 minutes of a travel manager’s time per traveler now take a couple of minutes of attention on the exceptions.
Weekly, Robert updates the internal database against every country’s official portal so the requirement, timing, and fee shown in search stays current. If UK ETA fees change tomorrow, the rate quoted in the app moves within the week.
Requirements checking is 100% on us
Even if you don’t order the filing through us, the requirements-checking side of the product is free to use for every trip you plan in Travel Code. Nobody has to guess whether a Kazakh passport needs a visa to Ecuador for a two-day transit; the answer is right in the trip. If our team gets the answer wrong and the traveler is turned around, that’s on us.
What’s live and what’s next
Live today: requirements-checking for every country pair we’ve verified on the official portal, and full filing for e-visas and travel authorizations. Coming next: consular-appointment visas (India, US B1/B2, Schengen when consular required), which need a different workflow because they involve booking a physical appointment slot at a specific consulate on a specific date.
How to get access
Visas is enabled in every Travel Code account. If you’re not seeing the section yet, ask your admin to turn it on; if the option isn’t there, get in touch and we’ll enable it for your account.
The question worth asking
How many trips did your program cancel or delay in the last quarter because a visa didn’t come through in time, and who inside your team is currently responsible for making sure that doesn’t happen next quarter?
