Excursion tour "Peru - the country of the Incas"

After breakfast, together with our guide, we begin our acquaintance with the city of kings, as Lima is called. Our first impression will be in the Park of Love in the Miraflores area. The most extraordinary sculpture by the famous Peruvian contemporary master Victor Delfin - “The Kiss” - fully corresponds to the name of the park. It was opened just on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1993. The walls of the park offer an amazing view of the ocean, and the walls themselves are like pages from a book about love. The excursion will continue to the historical center of Lima, which is full of monuments and pyramids from different eras. We will also explore the San Isidro district, where Lima's main financial institutions are located. The main points of the route are the central square, where the famous Government Palace, the Municipality, and the Archbishop's Palace are located. We will also visit the Cathedral. Here is the tomb of Lima's founder, Francisco Pizarro (entrance ticket to the cathedral included). In the Monastery of St. Dominic we will walk along the narrow corridors and imagine how the Peruvian saints walked here. (entrance ticket to the monastery included). The Larco Museum with a very rich collection of gold and ceramics is the final chord of our tour. We will explore the halls and galleries that will reveal to us the mysteries and secrets of ancient civilizations. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel. Next, transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. The second half of the day will be occupied by an interesting excursion to the Sacsayhuaman complex, which was built during the Incas. According to legend, people from other tribes were not allowed to enter the complex. Sacsayhuaman was considered a sacred site for the Incas. The ruler was of royal blood, since only kings could rule the house of the Sun, which the complex was considered to be. There are many ancient temples and architectural complexes in Peru. Besides Sacsayhuaman, Coricancha is also considered the Temple of the Sun. According to legend, the temple was built in the 15th century from gold and sparkled in the sun, attracting conquerors. The interior of the temple was entirely made of gold, even the altar was in the shape of a golden disk. But the Spaniards came to the land of the Incas and destroyed the temple, and in its place they built their own monastery. But the earthquake also destroyed the Spanish monastery, and already under the ruins of the monastery strong slabs of Coricancha were discovered. The next point on our excursion is the Tambomachay water temple, which was also considered a sacred place for the Incas. There were Inca baths here, and the Great Inca came here to bathe in the pool, where water flowed through specially built canals. Very close to the Tambomachay Temple you can see another archaeological complex with very interesting walls and towers. This is the Red Fort, or in the Inca language - Puca Pucara, which was a security complex. After a busy excursion, return to the hotel. Night in Cusco.

More and more we are immersed in the mysterious world of ancient Peru. From the hotel we go to the railway station, from where we take tourist trains on an exciting journey to a lost world in the mountains of Peru. An entire city with unique buildings, terraces, and structures was hidden from the eyes of the common man. And by chance Machu Picchu was discovered by an American explorer in the 20th century. Machu Picchu is considered a city of the Incas, who abandoned it one day for an unknown reason. As soon as you step into the territory of the lost city, you feel a special energy. The beauty of the mountains, the depth of the canyon, the greenery that is pleasing to the eye, and you feel like you are part of a centuries-old secret. After the tour, you will have free time: imagine yourself as the discoverer of Machu Picchu, have a photo shoot against the backdrop of the wonderful mountains, or, if you are lucky, meet a llama. We take the bus down to the village for lunch at the Ayasqa restaurant. Then we go to the station and return by train. Transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

Breakfast. Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The Sacred Valley, the cradle of the Inca civilization, was famous for its fertility and favorable climate, and therefore it was easy for the population to engage in agriculture and obtain rich harvests. In the Sacred Valley, the Incas built entire cities, and now in their place are the ruins of these cities: Urubamba with the country residence of the Supreme Head of the Incas, Huayna Capac; the important archaeological complex of Pisac, shaped like a partridge, on the Vilcabamba hill; Ollantaitambo with ceremonial center; Chinchero with an interesting colonial temple built right on top of the walls of the Inca Sun Temple; beautiful Moray complex with amphitheater-shaped farming terraces. Not far from Pisak you can visit a fair and buy items made of silver, ceramics, leather, made by folk craftsmen. At the Huanacancha Zoological Center we will be shown the most famous animals of this region - llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, and will be introduced to their feeding conditions and the process of dyeing their expensive wool.
