Breakfast in the hotel. Free day for independent walks or optional excursions: Botanical Garden The Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It was founded by the Portuguese King Joao VI in 1808, immediately after his arrival from Portugal. And on any day - this green oasis of peace and quiet. All alleys are lined with centuries-old palm trees; there is an amazing collection of subtropical and tropical plants from all over the world. Some of the plant specimens present here are endangered species. And in the lake, the Royal Giant Lilies (Lago das Vitórias Régias) attract the eye. On the alleys leading to the pond you can meet monkeys. In total, the garden contains 5,000 varieties of plants from all over the world. The Botanical Garden is rightfully considered one of the most picturesque corners of Rio de Janeiro. Duration of the excursion: 4 hours Trip to tropical islands Early in the morning you will go to the Anrga dos Reis region (about 3 hours from Rio). There you will find a boat trip through tropical islands! You will see unique landscapes and luxurious beaches. You can often see frolicking dolphins, giant fish, parrots, turtles and poisonous stingrays. At sea, the schooner stops so that those who wish can swim. And on the island there is a magnificent lunch buffet. Walking around the island, swimming in the bay or in the pool - time flew by! Accompanied by a guide, you will go from the hotel to watch a show full of fiery Brazilian dances: samba and capoeira performed by very slender and beautiful mulattoes. During the show you will be able to order dinner. After the end of the guided show, you will return to your hotel. Duration: 4 hours Royal Petropolis Petropolis is a city located in the mountains at a distance of 60 km from Rio de Janeiro. King Pedro II bought land here in 1830 and built a summer palace to bring here his sick daughter, who was harmed by the hot climate of Rio de Janeiro. The famous Imperial Palace was built in 1862 and now houses a museum, but the interior of the Palace has been preserved. The royal palace has preserved a lot of antique furniture and household items of the royal family, which are now on display in the museum. Jewelry is also stored here, for example, a golden crown decorated with diamonds and pearls. You will visit the Gothic Cathedral, where Princess Isabel, King Pedro II and his wife are buried, and then head to the Royal Museum. And European architects built many buildings here, excellent examples of German architecture.
