airBaltic Becomes the First European Airline to Offer Starlink In-Flight!

Riga, Latvia - March 29, 2024 - airBaltic, the Latvian airline, has become the first airline in Europe to successfully test Starlink on a commercial flight. The test flight took place on March 28, 2024, on an Airbus A220-300 aircraft flying from Riga to Tallinn.

Starlink is a satellite constellation developed by SpaceX that provides high-speed internet access anywhere in the world. During the test flight, airBaltic passengers were able to use the high-speed internet on board the aircraft to make video calls, play online games, watch movies and TV shows, and work on their emails.

airBaltic plans to equip all of its aircraft with Starlink in the future. This will allow passengers to always have access to high-speed internet during their flight, regardless of the route.
