Madagascar is a “continent in miniature”, literally overflowing with exotic life forms, many of which are found only on this island. There are extinct volcanoes and high mountains, valleys and rivers, tropical forests and semi-deserts. There are no luxury hotels in Madagascar: this is a place for those who are looking not for luxury accommodation, but for new experiences and 100% exotic things.

How to get there

The easiest option available is to fly with Air France with a connection in Paris. Flight duration is 13-14 hours excluding connections. But from USA to the capital of Madagascar you can travel by Belavia, Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa with 1 or 2 transfers. Regular flights operate between Madagascar and Kenya, Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, Tanzania and South Africa.

Climate

Tropical and equatorial monsoon. In different areas of the island, the climate can vary greatly. The average temperature in the capital is +18 °C, on the coast - +24...+26 °C. The coastal areas of the island often suffer from destructive cyclones. The hottest areas of the island are the northwestern coast and the Bemaraha plateau, where the average temperature reaches +34 °C. At the tops of mountain ranges, significant drops in temperature and frost occur. There is no “rainy season” in Madagascar.
